Show support for your rugby club today and we could win a visit from an England legend over the NatWest RugbyForce weekend.
To celebrate the launch of NatWest RugbyForce, the RFU have teamed up with NatWest to create the Pride of the Nation – a nationwide competition to identify and reward grassroots rugby clubs with the biggest support in their local community.
The ultimate winner will receive the prestigious “NatWest RugbyForce Pride of the Nation” plaque AND an exclusive visit from an England legend to their club over the 2013 NatWest RugbyForce weekend on June 15 and 16, as well as a brand new BBQ – up to the value of £250 – plus five RBS 6 Nations match balls from a match played at Twickenham to auction off over their NatWest RugbyForce event, helping them to help raise vital funds for the club.
The prizes for the top three clubs from the regional leaders boards include a regional “NatWest RugbyForce Pride of…” plaque to sit proudly in their clubhouse and they will also win a brand new BBQ – up to the value of £250 – and five RBS 6 Nations match balls, from a match played at Twickenham to also auction off over their NatWest RugbyForce event to help raise vital funds for their club.

At the beginning of April, Nigel Wilks, Andy Bell and Mark Norris attended the RFU RugbyForce session hosted at Eastbourne RUFC. For attendance at the session, we were awarded £500 towards the clubs proposed Changing Room remediation project, and an additional £3500 would be awarded to one of the clubs present following a review of the projects business case. Obviously, given the title of the post we received some great news today!
Following the National Panel meeting this week I am delighted to let you know that your club has been successful in being selected as one of the 35 clubs to receive an additional grant of £3500 towards your NatWest RugbyForce 2013 weekend renovation project.
We really need some help over the next few weeks so we can make the 15th/16th June a success. If you can help with the fundraising, or want to get involved in the changing room renovations please let Sophia Wilks know!

A BIG thank you to you all for coming and participating in the Shoreham presentation morning. The weather gods were very kind to us, which meant that we were able to have a fantastic morning. An EVEN BIGGER thank-you to everyone who donated things, or sold things and brought things – we were able to raise a fantastic £530.
We are looking to hold a “Family Fun Day” following a similar format on the afternoon of 15th June, but this time want to open it up to all friends and family too. So put a note in your diaries and we’ll send out more details within the next few days.
Thank you for your support.
Another fantastic tour to Rye completed; and although the teams didn’t get the 1st or 2nd place trophies this year, two Shoreham teams were awarded the Sportsmanship Award. Congratulations to the Under 8 & Under 10 Players, Coaches and Parents as the award is true testament to everything the club stands for.

After much hard work from Nick Gray and the Committee, the Club House plans have progressed significantly and we have a solid plan and designs. We are hoping to receive funding through various avenues to assist the project but will need to raise more funds to complete, so please if you can assist through Fundraising, Sponsorship or donations please let us know.
The Project is being split into 3 Phases. Phase 1 will be to improve and decorate our current changing rooms and club facilities which will occur during our RugbyForce weekend in May. Phase 2 will implement the first part of the modular club house, providing social facilities to be completed by December 2013 and finally Phase 3 will deliver new shower and changing facilities and we expect this to be completed late 2014.
In the meantime, please see below the current plans for the club house which will be built in front of the current facility.
