Excellent line speed and pressure kept Heathfield on the back foot when they had the ball and forced them into mistakes.
Shoreham used their direct running to gain ground and keep them within range.
This forward play eventually created gaps which the backs exploited to lead 2-0 at half time.
The opposition did convert two of these, the last late on, but only after Shoreham had secured the match with a third try.
The final score of 3-2 didn’t really reflect Shoreham’s dominance but was a great game to watch and good practice for the season ahead.
